Land Acknowledgement

Fiddlehead Players Community Theatre acknowledges that it carries out its work on the traditional unceded territory of the Wolastoqiyik and Maliseet peoples. This territory is covered by the “Treaties of Peace and Friendship” which these nations first signed with the British Crown in 1726. The treaties did not deal with the surrender of lands and resources, but in fact recognized Mi’kmaq and Wolastoqiyik title and established the rules for what was to be an ongoing relationship between nations.

We, the volunteers and members of the board, pay respect to the elders, past and present, and descendants of this land. We honour the knowledge keepers and seek their guidance as we strive to develop closer relationships with the Indigenous people of New Brunswick.

Our Mission

At Fiddlehead Players Community Theatre, our mission is to foster creativity, community, and personal growth through accessible, high-quality theatrical experiences for all ages and backgrounds.

Our Vision

We envision a bold, community-rooted theatre that entertains, uplifts, and gives back. Our goal is to make the arts accessible to all while celebrating New Brunswick talent and stories.

As part of that vision, we’re launching a series of programs - over our first few years - designed to reach, support, and inspire our entire community:

Inclusivity Policy

We are committed to creating a welcoming and inclusive environment that respects and celebrates diversity in all forms — including but not limited to race, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, ability, and socioeconomic background.

Participation in our productions and programs is open to everyone. We believe theatre should reflect the full spectrum of human experience, and we strive to make space for everyone to feel safe, seen, and valued.
